Does SabrTrader work with Apex Trader Funding?
Yes, if your Apex account is on the Rithmic connection. SabrTrader is a Windows trading platform that connects directly to Rithmic. Select the Apex system, enter your Apex Rithmic username and password, and you have live data, Level 2 depth, per-order Market by Order data, order routing and a trade copier for your accounts. Apex accounts on other connections aren't supported.

Rules change. Read Apex's current help centre and user agreement before you trade. Apex decides what is allowed on its accounts, not SabrTrader.
What Apex says about copiers, hedging and automation
These points come from Apex Trader Funding's own help centre, checked in October 2026.
- Your own PA accounts, same direction. Copy trading across PA accounts under your personal name and business name is allowed. The hedging rule still applies: all PAs must trade in the same direction and not hedge against correlated assets.
- Not with other traders. Trade copying with other traders is strictly forbidden.
- Twenty active PA accounts in total across everyone in the same house, companies and connections. Evaluation accounts have no limit.
- No automation. No automation or algorithm usage is allowed. Apex points to its user agreement for details.
SabrTrader can run an automated strategy and copy it to other accounts. Apex's rules say automation is not allowed, so that feature isn't for Apex accounts. Apex's help pages don't spell out where a copier ends and automation begins. If you're unsure, ask Apex and get the answer in writing.
One trade, placed by you, on every account you choose
You trade the master account by hand from the chart or the ladder. The trade copier repeats that trade on the accounts you ticked.
- Stops and targets always copy. Each follower gets its own stop and target, and they move and cancel with the master's.
- Hedge prevention. Switch it on and the copier refuses any order that would put two accounts on the same connection on opposite sides of a product, across contract months too.
- Size per account. Copy one to one, or remap NQ to MNQ and set a multiplier for a smaller account.
- Pause and Flatten All. One button stops copying. One button flattens every account.
Hedge prevention works per product. Correlated assets, which Apex's rule also names, stay yours to watch.
Order flow on the Apex data feed
SabrTrader keeps Rithmic's per-order book and uses it in the SuperDOM and the liquidity heatmap, so you see the queue at each price and can watch a wall build, then see whether it holds or gets pulled.
Footprint charts load bid and ask volume for earlier bars from Rithmic history, so the chart is already filled in when it opens. There's more on the order flow page.
Risk Master adds daily loss and trade limits with a hard day-lock inside SabrTrader. It doesn't replace Apex's own trailing threshold. The pricing page shows which plan includes which tool.
Connect an Apex Rithmic account
- 1. Finish Apex's own setup first. New users log in to R|Trader Pro once and sign the two mandatory agreements.
- 2. Find your Rithmic username and password in the Apex welcome email or in the Apex dashboard under "Rithmic Account".
- 3. In SabrTrader, open Connections in the Control Panel, choose Futures and then Rithmic, and add a new connection.
- 4. Select the system Apex and the gateway closest to you. Leave the transport on R|Protocol.
- 5. Save and connect, then open a chart and add the footprint, the heatmap or the SuperDOM.
The guide walks through every field: Connecting SabrTrader to Rithmic.
Apex asks you to keep R|Trader open to watch your trailing threshold, and to leave its Market Data switch off because Rithmic allows one market data session per user. With that switch off, the session is free for SabrTrader. There's also an R|Trader Pro plug-in mode on the R|API+ transport.
