Trade copier for prop firms

The best trade copier for prop firms is the one inside your platform.

A copier carries your funded accounts. It should not be a plugin from a second vendor, or a cloud service that sits between you and your broker. SabrTrader's copier is part of the order engine: one master, any number of followers, stops and targets mirrored, hedging blocked.

The Free plan copies one master to one follower, forever. No card.

SabrTrader Trade Copier copying a Rithmic master account to a sim account and an Apex prop account, with NQ remapped to MNQ at four times size and a Flatten All button

Pick the master, tick the accounts that follow, remap the symbol and set the size per account. Flatten All stays one click away.

Why this matters

What actually blows up a copied account

It is rarely the entry. It is everything after it.

  • A follower without a stop. The master's bracket did not copy, or copied late, and one account is now riding naked.
  • Ghost orders. The master exits, a follower's target or stop is left working, and it fills an hour later into a fresh position.
  • Accounts drifting apart. A partial fill, a rejected order or a reconnect, and one follower is two contracts off for the rest of the day.
  • An accidental hedge. Two of your accounts end up on opposite sides of the same market, which most prop firms forbid.
  • An update that breaks the plugin on the morning you needed it.

"My main frustration with NinjaTrader was occasional lag or instability around 9:30 to 10:00 ET, plus ghost-order issues when using a copy trader across multiple accounts."

How SabrTrader copies

Built around the things that go wrong

Protection always copies

A copied trade always carries its stop and target. There is no setting to turn that off, because a follower without a stop is not a preference, it is an unprotected account.

It checks against the broker

The copier does not trust its own bookkeeping. It keeps comparing each follower with what the broker reports and corrects any drift.

Hedge prevention

Switch it on and the copier refuses any order that would put two accounts on the same connection on opposite sides of a product, across contract months too.

Several logins at once

Different prop firms mean different Rithmic logins. All of them stay connected together, and one master can feed followers on each.

Size and symbol per account

Copy everything one to one, or pick symbols. Remap ES to MES and set a multiplier, so one ES on the master becomes ten MES on a small account.

Pause and Flatten All

One button pauses copying. One button flattens every account. A live monitor and an audit log show what was copied and why.

Straight talk

The copier runs on your PC, so the PC and SabrTrader must stay on while you trade. Follower accounts are for copying only: if you place a manual trade on a follower, the copier pauses and tells you why. It works with Rithmic-based prop accounts. TopstepX and ProjectX accounts are not supported today. Tradovate-based accounts are not supported yet, and the reason is not on our side: NinjaTrader, which owns Tradovate, does not currently let third-party platforms such as SabrTrader connect to it. NinjaTrader plans to open that up in Q1 2027, and we intend to be the first to add Tradovate support when it does.

Four kinds of trade copier, compared

Which one fits

Pick by where your accounts live

Rithmic prop accounts, on a Windows PC

This is what SabrTrader's copier is built for. Several firms, several logins, one master, with the charts and order flow you trade from in the same window.Start on the Free plan with one follower and add accounts when you trust it.

You already live in NinjaTrader

An add-on copier keeps you where you are. Check how it handles more than one Rithmic login, and what happens to it after a NinjaTrader update.Or run SabrTrader next to it and compare a week of fills.

You cannot keep a PC running

A cloud copier is the answer when you trade from a laptop that sleeps or a phone. The price is a monthly fee and handing your account logins to another company.

Topstep or Tradovate accounts

For now, use the copier those platforms provide. Topstep has its own copier inside TopstepX. Tradovate is closed to third-party platforms until NinjaTrader opens it, which it plans for Q1 2027, and we intend to be the first to support it.

What prop firms say about copy trading

Copying between your own accounts is widely allowed. Copying someone else's trades, or hedging across accounts, is where firms draw the line. These are from the firms' own help pages in October 2026.

Firm What its help centre says
Topstep Copying is done with the TopstepX Trade Copier, on Trading Combine and Express Funded accounts. Cross-account hedging is prohibited.
My Funded Futures Copy trading is permitted across account types. The trader carries full responsibility for the copier software.
Lucid Trading Automated systems and trade copiers are permitted. Up to 5 active funded accounts per household. The trader is responsible for software errors.
Other firms Rules differ and change. Check your firm's current rules on copying, on the number of accounts, and on hedging before you go live.
The common thread

Every firm that allows copiers puts the responsibility for mistakes on you. That is the reason to care about hedge prevention, about stops that always copy, and about a copier that checks itself against the broker.

More than a copier

The copier comes with the desk you trade from

The same install gives you the chart, the footprint, the liquidity heatmap, the SuperDOM and ATM brackets. You place the trade on the master from the tools you read the market with, and the followers go with it.

  • Risk Master adds daily loss and trade limits with a hard day-lock (Ultimate).
  • The Trade Journal records every copied trade with its orders and chart (Ultimate).
  • Strategies can be the master. Run an automated strategy on one account and copy it to the rest.
SabrTrader chart with the liquidity heatmap behind the candles and the per-order SuperDOM ladder docked on the right, both fed by Rithmic Market by Order data
The chart you trade the master account from: heatmap, candles and per-order ladder on one feed.

Before you ask

Questions about copying prop accounts

Is copy trading allowed at prop firms?

Between your own accounts, most firms allow it, each with its own conditions. Copying another person's trades and hedging across accounts are commonly forbidden. Always read your firm's current rules.

Which prop firms does the SabrTrader copier work with?

Firms that give you a Rithmic login. Several logins can be connected at once, so accounts at different firms can follow one master.

Does it copy stops and targets?

Yes, always. Each follower gets its own stop and target, and they move and cancel with the master's.

Can I copy NQ on the master to MNQ on a follower?

Yes. Add the symbol, set "copy as" to the micro contract and choose the size multiplier.

What happens if my connection drops?

No orders are sent to a disconnected account. When the connection returns, the copier reads the live positions from the broker and brings the followers back in line.

Does it need a VPS?

No, but it needs a Windows PC that stays on while you trade. A VPS is one way to do that.

How many accounts can I copy to?

One on the Free plan, five on Pro, and as many as you have on Ultimate and Perpetual.

Copy to one account for free. Add the rest when you trust it.

Connect two Rithmic logins, run the copier on sim for a week, and read the audit log.
