SabrTrader vs TradingView

The TradingView alternative for futures traders who outgrew it.

TradingView is the best place on the internet to look at a chart. It was not built to trade a Rithmic prop account off the order book. SabrTrader is: real depth of market, footprint, a heatmap, direct execution and a copier for your funded accounts.

The short version

Different tools for different jobs

TradingView is a charting network that added trading. SabrTrader is a trading desk that includes charting. Which one you need depends on where your edge comes from.

SabrTrader is the better fit when

  • You trade futures on a Rithmic prop account. We found no Rithmic connection in TradingView's broker list. We connect to it directly.
  • You read order flow. A liquidity heatmap, Market by Order depth and 14 footprint templates, on your broker's own data.
  • You run several accounts. The copier is built in.
  • You keep hitting plan limits. No cap on indicators per chart, on any plan including Free.

What to know before you move

  • You do not have to give up TradingView. Keep it on your phone and place the trade from SabrTrader.
  • Your favourite concepts are already native. Market structure, order blocks, fair value gaps, pivots and 200+ studies, with no cap per chart.
  • Your Pine scripts can come along. Port them to C# and watch each change appear on the chart as you save.
  • No second data bill. You see the real-time data your broker already sends you.
  • Mac and Linux are on the way. Both versions are planned for Q1 2027.
Discord message from RayMeeks: Wow this thing is amazing! I just cancelled my TradingView subscription and started porting all my indicators over to SabrTrader. Can't wait to start automating these with Algo Studio.

What you could not see before

The order book, over time, behind your candles

A candle tells you where price went. The heatmap shows where the resting orders were while it went there, and whether they held or pulled. The SuperDOM shows the queue at each price, order by order.

  • Real depth from your broker's feed, not a delayed or sampled copy.
  • Volume bubbles mark the trades that actually hit a level.
  • Click the ladder to trade. The bracket goes on with the fill.

Charting

The clean chart you like, without an indicator budget

200+ standard studies and 11 bar types on the Free plan, with no cap on how many you load. Paid plans add the TradeDevils suite: market structure, order blocks, fair value gaps, auto trendlines, pivots, support and resistance and more.

  • Tick, range, volume and renko bars alongside time bars.
  • Run any indicator on another indicator's output.
  • Cloud workspaces restore every chart and setting on your next machine.

Your own Pine scripts need rewriting in C#. The SDK hot-reloads, so you see each change on the chart as you save it.

An AI that reads the data, not a picture of it

Ask "what is my bias for the New York open?" and the AI pulls the bars, the footprint, the delta and your open positions before it answers, and says what it based the answer on.

  • It can draw on your chart, and nothing changes until you approve it.
  • It never tells you to buy or sell.
  • Bring your own model key at the provider's price.

"I swear, the things you can do now with Sabr in just 5 mins... It analyses all the macro environment, the auction market theory framework and the orderflow by itself and refreshes annotations directly on the chart automatically every five minutes."

Before you ask

TradingView users ask us this

Can I trade my prop firm account from SabrTrader?

If your firm gives you a Rithmic login, yes. Tradovate-based accounts are not supported yet, and the reason is not on our side: NinjaTrader, which owns Tradovate, does not currently let third-party platforms such as SabrTrader connect to it. NinjaTrader plans to open that up in Q1 2027, and we intend to be the first to add Tradovate support when it does.

Will my Pine Script indicators work?

Not directly. They need porting to C#. Many popular TradingView concepts, such as market structure, order blocks and fair value gaps, already exist as native indicators.

Is there a web or mobile version?

There is no web or mobile version. SabrTrader is a desktop application for Windows, and mac and Linux versions are planned for Q1 2027.

Do I pay for market data twice?

No. SabrTrader shows the data from your own broker or feed. There is no separate data subscription from us.

Is SabrTrader only for futures?

No. It also trades stocks, options, forex and crypto through brokers such as Interactive Brokers, Schwab, Tastytrade, OANDA and Coinbase.

Can I keep TradingView as well?

Of course. Plenty of people chart on the phone with TradingView and trade from SabrTrader at the desk.

See what is inside the candle.

Connect your broker, open a footprint and a heatmap on the market you trade, and decide whether you can go back to candles alone.
